The Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence for Industry (VTCAN), an initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Trade and Autonomous Government of the Canary Islands developed with the support of the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands, is continuously monitoring the innovation opportunities for the Canary Islands industry.
Among the main challenges identified for the Canary Islands industry is the possibility of taking advantage of the tractor effect of the construction sector, especially the opportunities offered by new trends related to industrialized construction.
At this conference, the support programs of the General Directorate of Industry of the Canary Islands Government were presented, as well as the activities that are being carried out within the framework of the VTCAN to analyze and exploit the opportunities offered by industrial construction, and examples of initiatives that are promoting this activity in different geographical areas of Spain.
iCONS participated in the conference to share its experience in collaboration between industrial and construction companies; as well as to offer its technical support on the possibilities offered by industrialized construction for innovation in the Canary Islands industry.
